Restaurant Partner Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BluePlate platform ("BluePlate", "we", "us") as a restaurant partner ("Restaurant", "you"). By creating a restaurant account, posting specials, or paying a subscription fee, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account & Eligibility
You must be an authorized representative of the restaurant you register. If your business operates two distinct concepts (for example, a family-friendly side and a minors-prohibited side), each side must register and maintain its own separate account so that branding, specials, and audience are kept distinct.
2. Subscription, Trial & Billing
New restaurants receive a 15-day free trial with unlimited special posts starting at signup. After the trial, restaurants may keep up to 2 active free posts indefinitely; posting beyond that requires an active subscription of $19.99 per month, billed in advance via our payment processor. Promotional discount codes, when offered, apply only to the terms stated at redemption.
3. No Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable. This includes, without limitation, partial months, unused posting capacity, periods of account suspension for policy violations, and cancellations made mid-billing-cycle. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges; access continues through the end of the paid period.
4. Content Standards — Acceptable Use
You are solely responsible for all text, pricing, photography, and other content you upload. You agree that submitted content will not contain:
- Nudity, sexually explicit imagery, or sexually suggestive content.
- Lewd, profane, vulgar, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory language.
- False, misleading, or deceptive advertising, including inaccurate pricing.
- Content that infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Promotion of illegal activity or unlawful sale of regulated goods.
- AI-generated or heavily manipulated photos that look overly fake or do not accurately represent the actual special being offered. We want diners to see the most accurate visual of the food or drink they will receive.
5. Translation of Content
BluePlate provides automatic translation of on-screen text into supported languages as a convenience to diners. Text that appears inside an uploaded image (for example, words baked into a photo, flyer, poster, or menu graphic) will not be translated. If you need your offer to be understood in multiple languages, enter the details in the title, description, and price fields rather than relying on text embedded in your image.
6. Alcohol Advertising Compliance
If your specials include alcoholic beverages, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your advertisements comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies set by your governing body or local legislature (for example, AGLC in Alberta, the LCBO/AGCO in Ontario, state ABC boards in the United States, or equivalent regulators in your jurisdiction). This includes, without limitation, rules governing pricing disclosure, happy-hour or "drink special" restrictions, minimum pricing, server-training requirements, hours during which alcohol may be promoted, and any required responsible-service or age-restriction language. BluePlate does not review listings for regulatory compliance, and you agree to indemnify BluePlate against any fines, penalties, or claims arising from non-compliant alcohol advertising on your account.
7. License to Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant BluePlate a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, resize, cache, and distribute that content within the BluePlate platform and its marketing of your listing for the duration of your account.
8. Accuracy of Specials
You are responsible for honouring the specials you publish during the times and days you set. BluePlate is not a party to the transaction between you and the diner and is not liable for disputes arising from the offer.
9. Privacy — No Sale of Restaurant Information
BluePlate will not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your restaurant's information with third-party marketers. Information you provide (business name, address, contact details, hours, specials, and uploaded content) is used solely to operate the BluePlate platform, display your listing to diners, process your subscription, and communicate with you about your account. We do not provide your data to outside advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party marketing services.
10. Suspension & Termination
BluePlate may suspend or terminate your account immediately for any violation of these Terms, for chargebacks, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support.
11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BluePlate's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
12. Image Watermarking & Download Protection
To help protect the specials you publish, BluePlate automatically overlays a "www.blueplate.world" watermark on uploaded photos as they are displayed on the platform, and applies technical measures that discourage casual saving of images (disabling right-click "Save image as…", drag-to-desktop, and iOS long-press save). These measures are a deterrent, not a guarantee — determined users may still be able to capture images via screenshots or other means, and BluePlate is not liable for unauthorized reuse of your content by third parties. You remain responsible for the rights to any image you upload.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
